As we posted back in April, The Haslinger collection of vintage Heuer watches will be auctioned by Bonhams in London in December. Baselworld was the first chance that I had to put together the new TAG Heuer Silverstone re-edition and a vintage Heuer Silverstone to compare the similarities.
Obviously, the two are very similar, with the only differences being:
New Silverstone (above right) slightly larger diameter than vintage (left), as well as having a thicker case
The vintage blue Silverstone has a metallic inner bezel, where the new model’s bezel has the same finish as the dial

The news from TAG Heuer is coming thick and fast. Finally we’re able to bring new some photos of the TAG Heuer Silverstone in the flesh. It’s great to see studio shots of a new watch, but the real test is how they look in “real-life” photos, because these are a better representation of what the watch will look like on your wrist.
