Formula 1

The Formula 1 was launched in 1986 and heralded the arrival of the new TAG Heuer brand. The design of the watch drew on the Swatch colour pallet for inspiration, offering a vast range of bold and bright colours. While the initial models were houses in a fibreglass case, the Formula 1 grew up over the years, adding stainless steel options.

In recent years, TAG Heuer added an automatic movement for the first time in what had always been seen as a entry-level quartz range.

In 2014 the Formula 1 case was changed for the first time since 1986, borrowing its design from the TAG Heuer Autavia of the early 2000s.
