So, what will future TAG Heuer’s look like? Typically, new designs are kept under wraps until the Basel show to ensure maximum exposure and impact. However, if you have a new design that you intend to patent, then you have to submit a patent application..and the secret is out.
TAG Heuer have developed a strong relationship with the designer Christoph Behling, who has designed several products for TAG, including the Meridiist, the Grand Carrera and the Golf watch (an in particular the way that the Golf watch attaches to the wrist).
So what is this new design?
Its hard to tell which model this dial is for- my guess would be a Link series.
Not sure about the complexity of the design- its a very busy dial, with a tachy scale, double date window and three sub-dials. In fact, its not immediately clear what all of these dials are for- and its its not intuitive, then does the design defeat its purpose?
What do you think?

I think it is the dial of the current big size Formula One chronograph. It is not equiped with an ETA movement; it probably a Ronda movement by the arrangement of the subdials. Running seconds at three o’clock, 1/10th of a second at six o’clock, 30 minutes counter at nine, and big date at 12.
Thanks Armando. I took a look through the TAG catalog, but couldn’t see a watch that was a match for this- agree that this is unlikely to be at ETA movement

What new secret TAG Heuer could this be, I wondered? Could we have stumbled on next years Basel surprise? [...]
