The first photo of the Calibre 1887 powered Carrera is out a few weeks ahead of Baselworld 2010.
TAG Heuer have been in touch to say that there was a mix up with the embargo dates for the photos of the Carrera Calibre 1887 and so have asked all websites to take down the images. So, if you didn’t get a chance to read the story earlier this morning, sorry…but you ‘ll have to wait another couple of weeks to see the new Carrera.

“embargo dates”, wtf? Grow some balls and publish what you have.
James, if TAG had asked me to take down complaints about customer service or criticism of a particular watch, I would have refused. But taking down photos that someone has released by mistake? I’m OK with that, but understand if you and others aren’t.
I note that everyone has now taken the images down.

It has nothing to do with having “some balls” as you so eloquently, er, I mean, crudely and ignorantly put. Tag Heuer and every other company that provides information to news outlets prior to release date do so in order to make it easier for journalists to do their jobs. Otherwise, we’d just get slipshod coverage of products when announcements are made because the media doesn’t have time to do a proper writeup of the information. Cal.11 should be commended on respecting its agreements and helping keep the practice going.
