Nice work David (and a lot of it too, I bet)! I think I have a few more than that, will check my pile. I know for certain I have several Grand Carrera ones that aren't there.

If you'd be interested, I also have price lists for some of the ones you've scanned too – always useful from an historic perspective, I've found. They'll be in GBP but it's easy enough to find historic exchange rates too.

    Thanks Marks.

Mark Moss: Thanks for the offer. I have a couple of price lists too….I might make these a separate section.

    Hi David,

In the 2006/07 Catalogue, there's a full page photo of a Monaco Calibre 360 (Picture: Scans010).

The current version of this model – the Monaco LS – differs slightly in that the newer model (LS) has the date at 12 o'clock, whereas the Cal360 has a power meter, some minor changes to the colour-way and sclaes, and the movement is different (Calibre 12 vs Calibre 360)…

I'd appreciate your opinion regarding the merits of these two watches, especially the change of movement between the models, as I think I'm tending towards preferring the Cal360 over the LS, which I imagine would be harder to come across…?

    I hope you're well?

  • DC (author) said:

    Hi Daniel,

The Monaco 360 LS never made it past the concept stage, because TH stopped work on the Calibre 360 and instead focused on the Mikrograph.

None were ever made, but the Calibre 12 Monaco LS borrowed the style of the concept watch…so it's the only choice!

    Cheers

    David

    Hi David.

Thanks for your reply. I had a feeling that you might say something along those lines…

Interestingly, after writing to you I continued my 'research' on the official TAG Heuer website, where they have a page on the Cal12 Monaco LS. The watch pictured was is the current Cal 12 LS, but the blurb explaining all the various features kept referring to it as a Monaco Cal360 LS!

Clearly, someone else at TH wishes they'd actual made some, too!

Oh well… I'm sure the Cal 12 will grow on me!

    Cheers,

    Daniel

Hi just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren't loading correctly. I'm not

sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same outcome.

  • David Chalmers (author) said:

Hi Rahul, there is only one version of the Mikrogirder that has been launched, and only a handful have been built. I believe the price is CHF 150,000 (Swiss Francs).
