Over the last few weeks we’ve brought you the details of new models that bolster TAG Heuer’s offering in the entry-level segment of the market. But this week we’re going to the right to the other end of the scale with TAG Heuer’s new flagship watch- the 2014 Carrera Mikropendulum Tourbillon. Inside TAG Heuer’s Haute Horlogerie Workshop
Only a few years ago, the concept of a haute horlogerie (a French term that in essence means “high-end watchmaking”) TAG Heuer watch was a foreign one. It was only under the leadership of Jean-Christophe Babin in the mid-2000s that the company began to reactivate watchmaking skills that had long been dormant. Starting with the Monaco V4, TAG Heuer has set… Read More

Three years after TAG Heuer unveiled the radical Grand Carrera Pendulum, the innovative magnetic movement is back- this time powering a Chronograph. Three weeks ago Calibre 11 brought you the first image of the Pendulum movement- or at least the “pendulum” part of the movement. Here for the first time is a sketch of the entire movement- you can see the elements shown in the last image just below the TAG Heuer logo. While this looks like the layout of a tourbillon,… Read More

TAG Heuer and Tesla
Further clues from TAG Heuer on the new Pendulum movement, with the announcement today of a partnership with US electric car maker Tesla.
The TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster will house the new TAG Heuer Pendulum movement in its centre console and will be used to launch the new movement at Basel on March 18.
Baselworld Update: TAG Heuer Pendulum
With only three weeks to go until the Baselworld 2010 show opens, more details about what TAG Heuer’s plans are starting to emerge. The key piece of news is the name of the “new concept movement” that was detailed first in the Calibre 11 Baselworld Preview in late January. The new movement is called the TAG Heuer Pendulum. The concept… Read More
