New Partnership with Vintageheuer.com

To kick off the new year we’re pleased to announce a new partnership with vintageheuer.com, the leading specialists in buying and selling- you guessed it- vintage Heuer watches. Vintage Heuer was founded by Jonathan Scatchard in the early 2000s, well before there were any Heuer-focused websites. You might have read some of Jonathan’s work in QP Magazine, International Wristwatch or Classic and Sports Car. Together with his business partner Guy Nelson-Bolton, the team have grown their business over the years, including launching www.vintagewatchshop.com to cover other watch brands- but it’s Heuer- and increasingly TAG Heuer- that remains the driving passion.

The team has just updated their website with a fresh new look that you can check out by clicking on the logo below

The What

In the short-term, the main change that Calibre 11 readers will see will be at the Calibre 11 Forum, where Jonathan will join as a moderator on the Vintage Heuer Board. As well as helping to answer any vintage-focused questions, the vintageheuer.com team will also post details of newly arrived watches first at the Heuer forum, meaning that our readers will get the first chance to jump on rare pieces as soon as they’re added.

You’ll also notice new links to vintageheuer.com added to the Ultimate Guides which will link through to the stock of that particular model at vintageheuer.com.

Vintageheuer.com is based at the amazing Bowcliffe Hall (above) in Yorkshire which will serve as a terrific venue for the collector events that we’re planning in the longer-term, along with a few other surprises.

The Why

The driving rationale for this is quite simple- coming up with better ways to help Heuer and TAG Heuer collectors find the watches that they’re looking to buy. While there has been a surge of interest in Heuer watches, not everyone has the time or inclination to become a self-taught expert in identifying genuine watches. Nor do they always feel comfortable sending thousands of dollars by bank transfer to a private person in a distant country. Buying from vintageheuer.com offers our readers peace of mind thanks to a 12-month warranty.

To be clear, this is not a commercial venture- we’re not referring you to vintageheuer.com to take a commission on a sale…we’re simply pointing you in the right direction of a trusted website where you can safely and securely buy great watches from people who love the brand.

We’re excited to see how this new partnership develops and welcome Jonathan and Guy to the Calibre 11 family!
